Horizon 2020 (H2020) is the largest EU Research and Innovation framework programme ever with nearly
€ 80 billion of funding being available over seven years (2014 to 2020).
H2020 aims for Europe to produce world-class science and technology. By removing barriers to innovation, working together will get easier for the public and private sectors, which will
facilitate solutions to the challenges our society is facing - H2020's big goal.
H2020 has three priorities:
Excellent science as the foundation of tomorrow's technologies, jobs, and well-being
Industrial leadership as strategic investments in key technologies to support innovation
Societal challenges as concerns of citizens which cannot be addressed without Innovation
